If you’ve been following the blog for a while, you know I love a good gathering. But recently, we threw a dinner party that was truly one for the books. The guests of honor? A room full of incredible folks from Lions Club International.
Now, when most people hear “service club,” they might imagine serious meetings, clipboard-touting committees, and polite polite-ness. But let me set the record straight: when our Lions Club gets together, we do NOT mess around. We dress to impress, we dance like nobody’s watching (even though everyone is), and we enjoy every single second of each other’s company. It’s living proof that making a difference in your community doesn’t have to be stuffy.
Good Food, Great Cause, Better Company
Community service is one of the absolute best ways to give back to the neighborhood that supports us. What I love about the Lions is how hands-on and impactful the work really is. Whether it’s organizing vision screenings, supporting disaster relief, funding diabetes awareness, feeding local families, or protecting our green spaces, Lions Clubs are out there actively making the world a bit brighter every day.
And the best kept secret? Giving back feels amazing, especially when you’re doing it alongside a group of friends who know how to throw down on a Saturday night. Service isn’t just about hard work; it’s about connection, community, and having a blast while lifting others up.
The Real Star of the Night
Speaking of dressing up and having a blast… I couldn’t write this post without giving a proper shoutout to the absolute highlight of my evening (and every evening, really).

Behold: my smoking hot wife, absolutely stealing the show as usual! Can you blame me for bragging a little? When you get to serve your community and attend fabulous dinner parties with a partner in crime like her, life is pretty sweet.
