Ah, the Rhine River! That majestic waterway that snakes its way through Europe like a lazy Sunday morning. Our recent trip took us to its very beginning, or so our tour guide claimed. We found ourselves at the Rhine Falls, a place where you can spend a couple of Swiss Francs and feel like you’ve seen something truly spectacular. Spoiler alert: you have.
The Rhine River stretches an impressive 760 miles, flowing through Switzerland, Germany, and the Netherlands, among other countries. It’s the longest river in Germany, which is a fun fact to drop at your next dinner party. I’ve had the pleasure of seeing it in several German cities, and let me tell you, it’s as charming as a German bratwurst.
Our tour bus pulled into the parking area, and we were given a generous 30 minutes to explore. Turns out, that’s the perfect amount of time to see the falls, take a leisurely stroll, grab a quick bite, and snap a few selfies. I even managed to avoid a pigeon attack, which is always a win. For those nature lovers like me who prefer their crowds at a minimum, this quick stop was just right.
In my travels, I’ve had the privilege of visiting some other famous falls, like Niagara Falls, Great Falls, and Black Forest. If you have a minute, check out those posts. Spoiler alert: they’re all pretty wet.
As I continue to churn out updates for the site, keep coming back for more. I truly appreciate the feedback, and there will be plenty more posts from our recent adventure. We’ll dive into reviews of the products Sunshine and I used, share insights from the tour company, and give you the lowdown on the hotels we stayed in. Plus, we’ll discuss the overall value of our vacation investment. Spoiler alert: it was worth every penny.
Stay tuned, and remember, the Rhine River is always there to welcome you back with open arms—or at least a gentle current.
